How GENIE works

GENIE turns the data your car park already produces into better prices, a better subscriber mix, and safe overbooking, in four steps.

The four steps

1. Connect your data

GENIE connects to your existing parking management system and reads live and historical occupancy, arrivals, departures, length of stay, and the split between subscribers and transient drivers. Integration is through your platform's API or export feeds, and via the APDS parking data standard where your systems support it. There is no new hardware and no change to how drivers pay.

2. Forecast demand

The engine learns your car park's demand patterns and combines them with external signals, local events, weather, holidays and traffic, to predict occupancy before it happens. Seeing demand early is what makes it possible to price ahead of it rather than react after the car park is already full or empty.

3. Optimise within your guardrails

GENIE then solves all three revenue levers together, the price for each hour, the subscriber-versus-transient mix, and safe overbooking of subscriber capacity. Every recommendation stays inside the limits you define: price floors and ceilings, maximum step sizes, protected rates, minimum guaranteed capacity, and your overbooking risk tolerance.

4. Go live and monitor

Approved prices and recommendations flow back into your system. Everything is visible on a live dashboard, current demand, the price on the sign, and the reasoning behind each decision, and GENIE keeps learning from actual occupancy, correcting quickly as conditions change. You can review or override anything at any time.

Plugs into your existing PMS

GENIE is a software layer that sits on top of the systems you already run. It is designed to be PMS-agnostic and works with major platforms including DESIGNA, SKIDATA and Scheidt & Bachmann through their APIs or export feeds.

How fast can you start?

A typical engagement begins with a single one-hour kickoff call to connect your data and set your guardrails. Because there is no hardware to install and no workflow to rebuild, the path from first call to live recommendations is short. And under GENIE's outcome-based pricing, there is no cost until it grows your revenue.

How it works, FAQs

Do I need new hardware to use GENIE?

No. GENIE is a software layer that connects to your existing parking management and access-control systems via their API or export feeds. Nothing is installed at the barrier and nothing changes about how drivers pay.

What is the APDS parking data standard and does GENIE support it?

APDS (the Alliance for Parking Data Standards) is an international data standard that gives parking systems a common language for exchanging occupancy, rate and transaction data. GENIE can consume and publish data via APDS where your platform supports it, alongside direct API and export-feed integrations.

How long does it take to get started?

A typical engagement starts with a single one-hour kickoff call to connect your data and set your guardrails. With no hardware to install and no workflow to rebuild, the path from first call to live recommendations is short.

Can I override GENIE's decisions?

Yes. Every recommendation stays within limits you set, everything is visible on a live dashboard with the reasoning shown, and you can review or override any price or recommendation at any time.
